Individuals with Disabilities and their Caregivers from the Local Special Olympics Team, Paynesville Thunder, attend Finding God in Nature Event
Hearts that face extraordinary challenges every day were lifted by the upbeat prayer time, kind volunteers, grilled hamburgers, picnicking, relaxing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, sliding down a homemade waterslide, and conversations over rock painting at the Saint Joseph Preserve.
The Paynesville Thunder Special Olympics Team had five families who came to relax and enjoy summer fun together in the beauty of nature. The prayer time featuring “How to see God in Everything” by Father Mike Schmitz, was well received. Despite all their health challenges, the Paynesville Thunder team members and caregivers found inspiration to continue radiating thankfulness and joy. The Finding God in Nature Day was a great summer highlight for all.
