Mini Retreats
What is a Mini Retreat?
The Saint Joseph Preserve Mini Retreat is designed as a break from the demands of life, for people with limited time and budgets. This retreat helps deepen the interior life of God through prayer. Participants are encouraged to retreat often with friends and bring this Mini Retreat to their home parish. A highlight of the Mini Retreat is that you can prayerfully discern the topic and scripture that addresses a need for God’s loving attention in your life, at the time. It’s like having a “date” with God, where you can discuss the things that are important to you and God.
Each retreat begins before the Blessed Sacrament with an encounter with the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, who are the spiritual retreat masters. Then, the retreat continues outdoors surrounded by nature where the Holy Spirit desires us to become united with Him in silent mental prayer. The retreat concludes with the Rosary.

Plan Your Own Retreat
A great opportunity waits for your parish, staff retreats, men’s or women’s retreats, youth group, Catholic school group, Bible Study group, Vacation Bible School, families or individuals to experience God in nature at Saint Joseph Preserve. You are welcome to camp overnight in our rustic camping area or come for the day. Spend time outdoors doing your favorite activities, or going inside Saint Joseph Chapel to pray, relax or have sharing time. We encourage groups to plan their own menus and bring their own food.
Special Opportunities for Catholic Priests
Priests are welcome to escape into the quiet of nature anytime. Enjoy celebrating Mass in the serenity of Saint Joseph Chapel. Special rustic accommodations and dining arrangements are available for Priests on the Zimmerman property. Please call to arrange details. There is no cost for Priests since they will be treated as friends of the Zimmerman family.
