Priest Retreats

A Quiet Escape
Priests are welcome to escape into the quiet of nature anytime whether overnight or just for the day. Enjoy celebrating Mass in the serenity of Saint Joseph Chapel or enjoying a peaceful moment to recollect with God in comfort ( the Chapel Barn is air conditioned or heated depending on the weather). Plan to enjoy the five miles of trails on foot or on a mountain bike. A quiet adventure awaits as you find wildlife, panoramic views, as you travel through the prairies, Crow Scenic River valley, and old growth forests. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing or swimming at Little Maria Pond, conditions permitting.
Special Accomodations
Special rustic accommodations and dining arrangements are available for Priests on the Zimmerman property. Plan to eat snacks out of the welcome basket, enjoy simple meals in the Zimmerman dining room or bring your own meals to prepare over the campfire. There is no cost for Priests since they will be treated as honored friends of the Zimmerman family. Choose to sleep in either the 11’ by 11’ Tree Cabin and a 22’ long Camper- Ice Castle Brand Camping Edition. Both have queen beds and electricity. It is a 50’ walk to a porta potty, and a 400’ walk to the shower and toilet in the basement bathroom of the Zimmerman residence. The new Short Stations of the Cross trail makes a scenic and private connection between the Priest accommodations and the Saint Joseph Chapel.

Other Amenities
The Ice Castle has air conditioning, and the Tree Cabin has a ceiling fan. Both have coffee makers and a mini refrigerator. Bottled water is provided for drinking, sponge baths, etc.
