Rustic Camping
A Quiet RetreatÂ
Saint Joseph Preserve offers a quiet camping experience during select nights throughout the summer. Camp on your own or as part of one of our mini-retreats.
Make a camping reservation below or by phone or email. A picnic table, campfire ring with grill, wood, porta potty, trash can, and bottled water will be provided. Plan to bring all of your own food, tents, chairs, and provisions to be comfortable in nature.
Sites are accessible by driving on a grass trail. There is a porta potty, picnic table, garbage can, fire ring and firewood, bottled water, and small communal storage shed for coolers or food. There are no showers. Please plan to bring your own food, tents, and screen tents.
Reserve A Campsite
Due to local zoning, we normally only have four campsites available at a time. During special events throughout the year, we are able to open additional campsites.
Why go on a Rustic Camping Retreat?
A little discomfort is good for the soul. For most people, achieving physical comfort is a daily pursuit which can work against forming a deeper relationship with God. Of course, bodily needs are important, but when they are forced to become secondary to spiritual needs, God is delighted with our efforts. Camping offers us an opportunity to encounter many discomforts to offer Our Lord in sacrificial prayer as reparation or for special intentions.
